Scripture for today:
There is power in our mouths. This week we shall be looking at the power behind the words we say.
From our scripture for today in Proverbs 18:21, we are told that our tongue, not just the tongue of the president, or king or chief judge, but every one of us has the power over life and death situations in our lives through our tongue and only those who know and understand this truth would enjoy it's fruits.
Today most people have totally ignored the power that lies in their tongues but it is evident that the power in the tongue can't be denied as we often find out that when we say something over and over again over our situations, they usually come to pass.
That's why it's important for us to learn to watch what we say about ourselves especially for believers who are praying for one thing and when they go outside they say something negative to what they prayed for, such prayer would not be answered because you have spoken against yourself and we know that a house divided against itself can not stand.
Therefore I would like to charge you today to speak life in every situation you find yourself, words were used by God to bring creation into existence, therefore you also do same especially for Christians who have the Holy Spirit in them and angels always on guard to carry out the words of faith we say. Never speak negatively about your situation, it's better you say nothing than to speak negatively but learn to speak positively and see the power in your words bring life for you.
